Terms of use

The rules for using this website. Plain language, no surprises — it's a personal portfolio, not a service.

Who runs this

This site (rustybusgaming.github.io) is a personal portfolio run by one person, Caleb, who goes by rustybusgaming. It is a hobby project. There is no company behind it, no team, and no support contract.

You can reach me through the Discord support server or on GitHub.

What these terms cover

These terms cover this website and the pages hosted on it — the front page, the small browser projects, and these policy pages.

They do not cover my Discord bots, which have their own Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. They also don't cover source code, which is governed by whatever licence ships in each repository.

Using the site

You can read anything here, play with the browser projects, and link to any page. You don't need permission and there's nothing to sign up for.

Please don't:

  • Try to break, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the site or anything it connects to.
  • Scrape it in a way that degrades it for anyone else.
  • Republish the written content or visual design as your own work.
  • Use it to do anything illegal where you are.

The projects and their licences

The projects listed on the front page are separate pieces of work. Each one lives in its own repository with its own licence file, and that licence governs the code — not this page. Check the repository before reusing anything.

The site's written copy, layout, and visual design are mine. The fonts are licensed from their respective foundries under the SIL Open Font License.

Third-party links and services

This site links out to GitHub, to project pages, and to other people's websites. I don't control those and I'm not responsible for what's on them or what they do with your data. Their terms apply once you leave here.

Some pages load assets from third-party services (fonts, script libraries, 3D textures). See the Privacy Policy for exactly which ones and what they see.

No warranty

Everything here is provided as-is. The browser projects are experiments — some are unfinished, some are deliberately silly, and some will break. That's the point of them.

I don't promise the site will be available, correct, up to date, or free of bugs. I may change, move, or delete any page at any time without notice.

Liability

To the maximum extent the law where you live allows, I'm not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of this site or anything you got from it.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that legally can't be limited — such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Where your local consumer law gives you rights that these terms can't override, those rights still apply.

These terms are governed by the laws of [YOUR COUNTRY / STATE].

Changes to these terms

I'll update this page when something changes, and the date in the footer will change with it. There's no mailing list, so if this matters to you, check back occasionally.

Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
