Cookie policy

Short answer: this site sets no cookies, so there's no consent banner to click. Here's why, and how to check for yourself.

The short version

This website sets no cookies. Not necessary ones, not functional ones, not analytics ones. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.

What cookies are

A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to store and send back on future visits. They're how sites remember you're logged in, what's in your basket, or — the reason for all the banners — which ads you've seen.

Related technologies do the same job by other means: localStorage, sessionStorage, and IndexedDB all store data in your browser that persists after you close the tab.

What this site uses

None of them.

  • No cookies are set by any page on this domain.
  • No localStorage, sessionStorage, or IndexedDB is written by any page on this domain.
  • No fingerprinting — nothing tries to identify your browser by its configuration.

This is possible because the site is entirely static and has no accounts, no preferences to remember, and no analytics. The browser projects keep their state in memory only, which is why refreshing the page resets them.

Third parties

Some pages load fonts, libraries and textures from other servers — listed in full in the Privacy Policy. Those services deliver a file and nothing else; they do not set cookies through this site.

Once you click a link and leave for GitHub or anywhere else, you're on their site under their cookie policy, not this one.

How to check this yourself

Don't take my word for it. In any desktop browser:

  • Press F12 to open developer tools.
  • Go to the Application tab (Chrome/Edge) or Storage tab (Firefox).
  • Look under Cookies, Local Storage and Session Storage for this domain.

They should all be empty. If you ever find something there, that's a bug — please tell me.

Changes to this policy

If I ever add something that needs a cookie, this page gets updated first and a proper consent mechanism goes in before it ships.
